Activities

We recommend guests stay a minimum of two nights in Hokitika to enjoy the activities available.  Located by the sea, at the mouth of Hokitika River, Hokitika is the largest town in Westland District.  It offers a range of retail, banking and other services, including jade (greenstone), gold and other minerals.  Craft artists, sculptors, jewellers, painters and poets have chosen the Hokitika area as their home.

Below are some of the activities available on the West Coast of New Zealand. We are able to help you organise your activities when visiting Hokitika.
